Wow, what a surprise it was to see the "pregnant" on my pregnancy test. I was so excited, silently celebrating in the bathroom early on a Friday morning before school. I had a plan for how I wanted to tell Kevin (based on a joke from the past) so I did not want to tell him that morning. That was probably the longest day of my life. I had to keep the secret completely to myself until about 5:00 that evening. After school Kev called and I made some excuse to get off the phone because I just knew my secret was going to come out if I kept him on the phone. I went straight to the mall after school and ordered him a cookie cake that said "Let our journey begin..." I anxiously waited them finishing it so that I could rush home to tell Kev the happy news. When I got home I quickly printed a picture of my pregnancy test from that morning and stuck it inside the cookie cake lid while Kev waited patiently in the other room. I walked in with the cake behind my back and asked if he was ready for the surprise knowing that he had no idea what was coming. He said yes so I handed over the cookie cake. He opened the box and just stared at the cake like... ok, what does this mean? I looked at the lid where the picture was and he looked at me in shock. I believe he said something like "really?" Well of course I wasn't going to make that up. He was so excited. I could see it on his face. Later he told me that he was seriously glad that he was sitting down. LOL. His cake also came with a book called The Caveman's Pregnancy Companion that was a funny book I had foundat the store. We did not have much time though because we were headed to my parents for Emily's birthday dinner where once again our secret could not escape. That was hard since Kev kept leaning over and whispering to me "your pregnant" throughout the whole time we were there. We enjoyed reveling in the good news that night and the next 2 days before we told our parents but we also thought we were going to just accidentally shout out the news.
