We had our first doctors appointment on May 31st. Had to leave school at lunch (oh darn)...and stopped and had lunch with mom at Chick-fil-a...yum. Kev and I were nervous and excited to head to the doctor. We sat and waited a little while and I could feel Kev getting antsy. I gave him my iPad to play with so he would stop pacing and making me anxious too. The nurse came in to ask a few routine questions. She asked when the last pregnancy test I took was? I laughed because I wanted that to be a secret but I had to tell her the day before. I just wanted to make sure there were no sad surprises at the doctor. Kev got a good laugh at that. The doctor came in and answered some questions I had and then did an ultrasound. What an amazing feeling it was to see our little baby and hear its heart beat. I was in aw at what my body was doing and immediately fell even more in love with my baby than I already was. That day the baby's heart beat was 179 bpm. We left the doctor and went straight to Hallmark and bought a frame to put the pic in. We also got lots of free stuff from the doctor that we had fun looking through. We met up with our moms and Emily to share all about our experience and to show them the pics. Another wonderful and unforgettable day.
